All proceeds benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation!
Why All Proceeds?
We have sponsors who cover our booth fee, Hotel Room, and Tixs to the Heroescon. Another sponsor covers the art supplies.
How much does organizers make from Team Cul de Sac a year from the fundraising?
We personally make nothing from this. Nothing. All money goes to the Fox Foundation for research, unless we need supplies, merchandise to sell, or a banner at the show. All TCDS artwork (such as Sergio’s t-shirts) and projects Compleating Cul de Sac have been done pro bono. We have the joy of knowing we are making a difference in the lives of folks with P.D and keeping Richard’s memory going.
How can I help Chris with Expenses?
That would be awesome but not necessary. We enjoy going to the Michael J Fox Gala each year and if you want to donate go here. The link on the right is to my personal Paypal account.
How can help, I was friends with Richard, or have a Family member with Parkinson’s?
Feel free to email Chris anytime. If he cant help, he will send you to the fine people at the Michael J Fox Foundation.

Cartoonists Draw the line…
How it began
When Richard Thompson, creator of the cartoon strip Cul de Sac, learned that he had Parkinson’s disease, the entire cartoon community was moved. From other cartoonists to fans, the urge to “do something” was overwhelming. Enter Chris Sparks, a friend of Richard, who came up with the idea of joining the Team Fox effort, the fundraising arm of the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Our Mission
To raise money for research and awareness of Parkinson’s disease through the Michael J Fox Foundation.
